1. How does teeth whitening work?
The teeth whitening gel uses active ingredients with a very high success rate and have
a relatively low risk of tooth sensitivity or damage to gums if used correctly. Bleaching treatments and products typically use carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide;
Carbamide peroxide breaks down into hydrogen peroxide with a ratio of approximately 10 to 35 so 10% CP is roughly 35% HP.

A good way to measure the strength of teeth whitening gels would be to look at the Carbamide Peroxide level or Hydrogen Peroxide level. 10%CP is good for sensitive teeth, 16%CP is what is typically used and is safe for most people and 22%CP is the max any gel should have.
